# Method:
01 - Over medium heat in a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon until crisp, about 8 to 10 minutes. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Reserve 2 tablespoons of bacon fat in the pan and discard excess fat.
02 - Add the diced onions to the skillet with reserved bacon fat. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until onions are deeply golden and caramelized, approximately 20 to 25 minutes. Allow to cool slightly.
03 - In a mixing bowl, combine the caramelized onions, crisp bacon, and sour cream. Mix thoroughly until well incorporated.
04 - Refrigerate the mixture for at least 30 minutes to meld flavors. Serve chilled with chips, crackers, or vegetable sticks.
